The Bazhena are a progressive emo three piece from suburban Philadelphia attempting to combine many influences from jazz, blues, punk, and hardcore while keeping their heads above water. Break Even first encountered the trio's material while recording an upcoming release at The Skylight Studio in Langhorne. So impressive was the sound that there was no hesitation in agreeing to produce the band's first album. The CD has received rave reviews and has been a continued best seller. The Kissing Ambulance is the product of over a year of writing and recording that serves as straight-forward evidence of the band's unique style.
Bazhena is an alumni member of the Break Even roster releasing their debut full length The Kissing Ambulance in the Spring of 1998.

They went on to release a 7" and a self-titled EP on their own label Foilage Records in 2003.

In June 2005, under their new name Navies, they released their An Estate EP on Lovitt Records.
